I was in Lovely DENVER last week and had a great trip for work. Despite the 15 degree weather and the snow, the last day I was there the sun came out and I was able to get some really cool pics...

uconn vs. byu...

last year i was lucky enough to meet geno auriemma. he is not only a legendary coach, but he is also a really cool guy. i know, i know, corny but true. everyone usually says he is an egotistical jerk, but i find him rather funny and quite entertaining!...anyway, uconn is in town today to play byu. geno was classy and kind enough to give permission to my sky players to come watch uconn practice at the marriot center. and what an awesome practice to see! lots and lots of positive energy and hard work and even laughing! it was a really fun morning! it's not often that we get to watch the #1 ranked team in the country and the POY practice. it was cool...although i still have to throw a shout out that stanford is still my pick for the 2009 national champs! :)

Stanford vs. New Mexico

mitchy's team is back in action tonight! they are looking to redeem themselves from their stunning butt-whooping on sunday. mitch is playing really well, the best i've seen her play since arriving at the farm! the knee looks great and her athleticism (she got from me) looks to be 100%! should be a good bounce-back game against a mwc powerhouse, new mexico! here is the link if you want to watch. WAT UP!

wow, we sure are bad at this blog thing *eh hem*! i guess i will post, even though there isn't much going on in the howe world these days. jc is gone to (eastern) montana to bird hunt with the dogs. and although i had grandeur ideas of all the wonderful things i would get done while he is gone, i have found that i have done nothing but mope around the house and watch tv by myself! ugh. i need a swift kick in the pants! tonight i am going to put up our christmas decor so that we don't hassle with it later - besides, i have nothing better to do! haha. actually am really looking forward to getting some great cleaning done, christmas shopping accomplished, seeing twilight (although i've never read the books), and watching the BIG GAME! GO UTES!

Saturday, November 1 at 1:00 pm mst Stanford takes on Chico State! It will be Michelle's first game since the 'incident' last year ;)...Don't know if Mitchy will play or not, as her knee has had some swelling due to recovery from the meniscus surgery she had a few weeks back (same knee as her acl). corn, corn, and more corn!

So me and the husband went to a CORN MAZE with jc's sister april and her husband jeff. I am not going to lie, those things sometimes creep me out. What if some creeper went and hid in the corn, and everyone just thought he worked there? UGH! but no worries, I never saw a creeper in the corn, just a bazillion pre-teens trying to scare each other and screaming every minute! haha, that was funny. It wasn't much of a challenge as we could see the lights to the exit the entire time. But we had fun and ate lots of corn ;)

...one step at a time baby!

yes...it is I

so since I'm starting to fear for my life cuz I haven't posted anything yet, I finally decided to do so...(thx kk lol). Anyways, things here in sunny CA are going pretty darn good so far. This week has been rough since I was finally cleared on Monday, and was thrown into 3 1/2 hour practices right off the bat, but I'm surviving. School is great so far. School isn't my favorite friend in the world, but I love my art and I love my professors, so I can't really complain (except that I can be the worst procrastinator ever). Friends are great as well. My friend Brooke and I started a Thursday morning tradition by hitting up Stacks for breakfast and just getting a chance to catch up and hang out since I'm terribly busy. They give us free food all the time too cuz they're huge bball fans so it's a blast. Well...my life is pretty lame (literally) even though I'm probably the busiest person alive haha. Just staying focused on getting healthy, getting good grades, and sleeping as much as possible! I certainly love love love my family though! MISS YOU GUYS

ORANGE BOOTS!

...so I don't have any pictures to post yet, but I watched my (already crazy) dogs do the most hilarious things last night!...when JC got back from his little hunting adventure this past Saturday, Champ had a small chunk of skin/fur out of his back paw. Knowing me, and what a worry wart I am about the dogs (I really really need to have kids soon), I starting getting really worried about the big week-long hunting trip in Montana JC and the kidlets (Champ and Gracie) are going on next month. I remember how much the 'surgery' cost us to remove the burs from Gracie's paw last year. SO! we headed out to Cabelas and bought some sweet ol' boots for the dogs to wear while they are hunting! When we put them on the kidlets last night it was nothing short of HILARIOUS! They were both hopping with each step and prancing all around - HATING the boots. JC and I were dying! Neither of us could stop laughing as the dogs hopped frantically throughout the front yard!...I will be posting pics/video of the round 2 with the orange boots! You have never seen anything quite so funny!

poopie dogs!

...this weekend was pretty awesome as the dogs all had problems going to the potty in the house! UGH! shampooed the carpet 6 times! spend over $100 on carpet cleaning supplies. good thing we love them so much because i was having serious frustration and some bad thoughts by sunday evening! i was excitedly imagining life WITHOUT dogs!...we think they have been eating rotten apples that have fallen from our apple tree, and therefore have had the runs! we picked up the apples (in the snow) and put the kidlets on some prescription dog food lastnight. it has helped quit a bit. no more 'present piles' for us this morning! phew!...
